It's days like this that truly make me realise how lucky we are, waking up in clean comfy bed sheets to a beautiful blue sky, grabbing a glass of water, fresh fruit, opening the window to the fresh air and playing music (Bon Iver right now)
A week ago, I went to see Coldplay, and I can honestly say it was one of the best nights of my life! It was so much fun and the atmosphere was amazing, but at one point I just stood there taking it all in and seeing everyone enjoying themselves, watching the fireworks explode overhead, catching the confetti and dancing, seeing all the colours draping over every seat, every face, the whole stadium. To hear everyone's voices merge into one, the flash lights flickering all around, everyone was enjoying it together and it was an incredible night.
It just makes me wonder what we've done to be this lucky, to have what we do and have the opportunities that we do. Why do some people not have clean water, something we have excessive amounts of? Why don't some people have a bed? Why do some children not have families? It's sad and crazy to be honest, that in 2016, people still don't have the simple necessities. Hearing everyone's voices together at the concert showed that all of our voices
can be heard, so why don't we do anything about it...
